Salmon Harvester Appoints Haslams Following Purchase in Reading

Haslams Chartered Surveyors have been instructed by Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund (SHOF), a joint venture between Salmon Harvester Properties and NFU Mutual, to advise them on the marketing of Stadium Way Industrial Estate. This follows SHOF’s purchase of the estate from the Wellcome Trust last month. Tenants on the 222,713 sq ft estate include Screwfix, Wolseley Centres, Travis Perkins and Howdens Joinery.

Neil Seager, partner at Haslams, said: “We are delighted to have secured this exciting new instruction and have immediately set about implementing our ideas to improve the estate. It had been unloved under the previous ownership so we have lots of initiatives which will also hopefully benefit the existing occupiers. My client, like me, believes in Reading and we are confident that our aspirations can be realised.”

Haslams will also be assisting SHOF with building surveying and lease matters. King Sturge are joint letting agents.

The Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund is a £150-million joint venture between NFU Mutual and Salmon Harvester Properties.

The fund’s aim is to acquire and manage commercial property investments nationwide across all sectors, targeting ideal lot sizes of between £10m and £25m, with the ambition being to grow the total fund to £500m over time.
