Planning Appeal on a Development Proposing 1,350 new Dwellings

The Task

We were instructed by the University to manage the planning application and appeal in respect of a major development site on the west side of Shinfield within the south of the M4 strategic development location.

Wokingham Borough decided to refuse the planning application (reference 0/2010/1432).

The Outcome

The decision to refuse was taken to appeal by way of public inquiry and we and the University’s project team successfully argued that planning permission should be granted. The appeal (APP/X0360/A/11/2151409) was allowed in favour of the University.
