Planning Appeal on a Development Proposing 126 New Dwellings with 2% Affordable Housing Provision

The Task

We were instructed by the University of Reading to act as an Expert Witness in giving evidence on development viability at Planning Inquiry in its Appeal against Wokingham Borough Council’s decision to refuse its Planning Application Ref: O/2011/0204 and the Council’s requirement for a 40% affordable housing provision.

The Outcome

We successfully argued that planning permission should be granted for the proposed development with just 2% affordable housing provision. The Appeal (Ref: APP/X0360/A/12/2179141/NWF) was allowed and a partial Costs Award was granted in favour of our client.
