Henley Site Sale Exceeds Clients Expectations

Haslams is delighted to report the unconditional freehold sale of some 0.61 acres of land at Deanfield Road in Henley-on-Thames to Colleycare Limited (trading as B&M Care). The purchaser is intending to erect a 60 bed residential care home on the site which was previously occupied by the Henley Youth Centre.

The vendors and our clients, Henley College and Thamesfield Youth Association, received a very substantial price for the site well in excess of the asking figure. A planning application will be submitted for the proposed scheme in the very near future.

Haslams’ Steven Smith commented: “It is a measure of the strength of the Henley property market that we received an almost record 26 bids for the site from both the residential care sector and house builders. We were delighted to agree very good terms with the purchaser and at a price that exceeded our clients’ expectations”.

The site is already allocated for residential development in the draft Joint Henley & Harpsden Neighbourhood Plan.
