Instructed by a substantial Midlands based independent School to provide a report and valuation under Section 119 of the Charities Act 2011. The valuation concerned the valuation of some 20 acres of land which had received a planning permission for 150 dwellings, extra care units and associated infrastructure; and was sold for in excess of £25.0 million.
The School’s Trustees were able to proceed with the disposal of the site to a national house builder in compliance with its legal and fiduciary obligations imposed upon the Governors under the Charities Act.
