Proposed industrial scheme for Theale

Haslams has been instructed jointly with Savills to market the scheme which will be called Theale Logistics Park..

The developer has submitted several development layouts. McKay could simply refurbish an existing 100,000 sq ft building, build a new 134,430 sq ft or create a scheme of three four units ranging from 14,365 sq ft to 60,575 sq ft.

Richard Sullivan, national head of industrial & logistics at Savills, said: “With the Thames Valley largely devoid of good quality stock in the mid box range, along with the continued growth in demand from a wide range of occupiers, in particular customer fulfilment operators and last mile delivery, upon completion Theale Logistics Park will provide much needed Grade A product in this high density catchment area.

“We have already identified strong latent demand and for this reason expect to receive significant interest in the scheme over the next few months.”

Tom Elliott, property director at McKay Securities said: “Our plans for Theale reflect the robust state of the industrial and logistics market, characterised by strong occupier demand and limited supply.

“We have designed the scheme with flexibility in mind so that it appeals to as wide an audience as possible.”
