Gateley Plc Take Top Floor on The Blade

National law firm Gateley Plc has recently signed up to take 7,235 sq ft on the top floor of the The Blade from Aviva Investors.

Gateley has a network of seven offices across the UK and floated on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in June 2015 becoming the UK’s first publicly-quoted commercial law firm. Christopher Avery, Head of Gateley’s Reading office commented: “The move to Reading’s premier office building ‘The Blade’ and the high calibre of personnel we have already attracted are indicative of Gateley Plc’s future plans for its Thames Valley office.”

“Gateley fought off fierce competition from another potential tenant to secure the space”, Eilidh McAllister at Haslams comments; “The Blade is Reading’s most iconic building, and the top floor with its unrivalled views provides the most prestigious office accommodation in the town. This latest deal means the building is now over 70% let.

Haslams advised Gateley.

Julian Cobourne of Aviva Investors said: “We are delighted to welcome Gateley to The Blade, another great tenant for a building which is attracting such a diverse range of occupiers.”
